Terms of Use:
General
By using the Web Portal, you are agreeing to the terms of use set out on this page. If you do not agree with these terms of use, you should not use the Portal. If you feel that the terms of use are exclusive or unfair, your first point of contact should be the Web Portal Admin Team.
Mental Health North East (MHNE) is committed to best practices and to inform the Mental Health community in North East England in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. We aim to provide a useful, informative and unbiased service for the Mental Health Voluntary Services Community in the North East of England.
Data Protection
Information held by MHNE Web Portal is kept secure on our web server and is not available to any unauthorised person. We do not share or sell personal information about members, individuals or organisations without their express permission and/or request unless required to by law. Please do NOT post any personally identifying information on public access areas of the web portal without the permission of the person concerned.
Appropriate Content
MHNE aims to keep the content of the portal relevant and current. By “relevant”, we mean relevant to the Mental Health Voluntary Services Community and their business. We do not accept content which is inappropriate, offensive or illegal. Such material discovered on the portal will be removed.
Submissions for Publication
MHNE accepts submissions for publication on the Web Portal from organisations and individuals – including staff, service users and carers. We try to be fair and unbiased in the way we publish submissions. All submissions should be relevant to the Mental Health Sector and should not contain material that could be interpreted as threatening, harassing, sexism, racism or hatred.
Preferred Formats
Ideally, material submitted should be in one of the following formats:
Plain Text ( .txt - Notepad, Kwriter, plain text e-mails), HTML (.html .htm. - web page or link), Word (.doc - Microsoft Word), Open Document Format (.odf – OpenOffice.org), Rich Text Format (.rtf - WordPad)
Submissions may be accepted in Portable Document Format (.pdf – Adobe Acrobat) on condition that the text is editable. If the text cannot be edited, we may not be able to process the information into a format that can be placed on the Portal. PDF documents are produced to make it easier to print out on a wide rage of computer systems but is not always the easiest or best format for Web Publication. If you need to submit an uneditable PDF file, please attach a short description in text format so that we can place it as a separate document with a link from the appropriate page or section.
We cannot publish information sent on Picture formats (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .tif, png, etc.).
Spreadsheets and Tables should be accompanied by a text description. They will then be placed as a separate document with a link from the appropriate page or section.
Other formats may be accepted. If in doubt, contact the Portal Admin Team.

MHNE is not affiliated with any political, religious, spiritual, philosophical organisation, belief or position. Information placed on this site is presented 'as is' and may not necessarily reflect the views of MHNE, our members or affilliates. We may, occasionally publish material from political web sites or religious-based organisation which is relevant to mental health. This does not imply that we agree with or endorse it.

If you find a link that does not work or contains malicious or illegal content, please contact the Web Portal Admin Team. We will assess the situation and, where appropriate, remove the link and/or report it to the relevant authority.
