The Trustees of Tynedale Hospice at Home, a Hexham-based charity that provides palliative care and bereavement services, are currently seeking a Director.
The successful candidate will have senior management experience operating at board level or equivalent, with the skills and experience to lead our organisation through changes coming from the new commissioning environment and will work 25-30 hours per week by agreement at a salary pro-rata within Band 8 Range A, Agenda for Change (£38,851-£46,621), depending on experience.

Regional Development Manager – The Alzheimer’s Society

The Alzheimer’s Society, a leading care and research charity for people with dementia, is looking to employ a well motivated and experienced person to be a member of the North Operations Directorate Team. The post holder will take a strategic lead for this North Rock Foundation funded project and will work very closely with the Area Manager who has overall leadership for North East and Cumbria operations. Outstanding communications, relationship management and partnership development will be required to ensure the success of this project.
You will lead on identifying and sharing best practice, innovating, driving forward practical changes that will support people affected by dementia to move forward. By partnership working, networking and liaison within the Society and across the area, you will raise the profile of Alzheimer’s Society and dementia using expert knowledge to influence leaders internally and externally.

Health Trainer - Waddington Street Centre

Waddington Street Centre is currently looking to employ an individual to join their team in Durham in the role of a Health Trainer. The post holder will work from the Waddington Street Mental Health Resource Centre across the North Durham area with people who use the Centre and others who are experiencing problems with their physical health due, in the main, to their mental health difficulties and medication. The Health Trainer will be required to support some of the most vulnerable people in the local population including those who may not currently engage with health or social care services. The role of the Health Trainer is to work with individual clients to support them through behaviour change by developing step change action plans and, where necessary, refer to services such as weight management or stop smoking service.

Herrington Burn YMCA is looking to recruit a highly motivated and suitably qualified Senior Youth Worker to support the Head of Learning in delivering YMCA's School Inclusion Project (SIP).
The successful candidate must have a relevant youth work qualification, minimum level 4, and preferably hold a teaching qualification. Applicants should also have:
• at least two years of experience in writing and delivering creative lesson plans
• the ability to work and interact with 11-16 year olds
• excellent communication skills
• a firm understanding of equality and diversity
