Personalisation is intended to bring about dramatic changes in health and social care and other public sector services, including:
- 1. greater control and choice for people who need care and support
- 2. services that are customised to meet individual needs and circumstances
- 3. introduction of personal budgets, and increased direct payments
- 4. a reduction in traditional block contracts for service providers
- 5. better access to information and advice for everyone who needs it
The MHNE Personalisation Project was set up to look at the impact of these changes on voluntary sector mental health agencies and the people who use them the opportunities, challenges, benefits and risks. By clicking on the menu on the right you can access guidance materials and resources for organisations and individuals, along with reports, information and links to other sites of relevance to voluntary and community mental health organisations in the north east.
