Part-time Support Workers

19 hrs per week & 20 hrs per week -Permanent

We have two opportunities to join a team of staff at an Independent Living Service in Gosforth working as Support Workers.
Supporting three gentlemen you will ensure the service users are the focus of your attention at all times. You will be involved in all aspects of daily living including supporting with personal care, promoting health, independence and wellbeing and supporting the individuals to experience a range of recreational activities.
Previous experience of working with adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour is essential.
You must be flexible in your approach with excellent communication and listening skills. You will be required to work on a variable rota to meet the individual needs of the service users you will be supporting, which may include some weekend and bank holiday work. It is desirable that you hold a valid UK drivers license.
Training is provided with this role and you will also be expected to complete the Level 2 Health & Social Care (Learning Disability) Diploma.
